Curtain house is a two-story, detached residential building that was tailor-made for a family of art enthusiasts. The plot was selected in the suburbs of the capital city with picturesque views of nature and landscape.
The house was designed in the form of two main blocks, permeating each other at a right angle. The most characteristic detail is the concrete elevation shaped in the form of curtains. This solution was custom designed by architects and made by the concrete supplier. Modern elements such as glass and concrete were used as well as natural wood that connects the design with surrounding trees. The building is located in the north-eastern part of the plot. The entrance and the garage door are located on the eastern wall of the building, with more closed private elevation, that separates the house from the street.
On the ground floor, there is a large, but cozy living room connected with a dining room and an open kitchen, a perfect solution for a family house. Warm colors and modern furniture make this space presentable and timeless. Panoramic windows, placed on the entire wall of the building opens the space to the terrace, the garden extends right behind it creating breathtaking views. There is no visible barrier between interior and exterior.
The lowest floor also houses an office, a tv room, and a spacious wardrobe. The remaining rooms are a garage for two cars, a boiler room and a warehouse accessible directly from the outside. There is also a spectacular indoor swimming pool next to it with a view of the garden and nature. Under the pool basin, there is a technical space with pool technology devices. It constitutes a partial basement of the building.
On the first floor, there is a private part of the house with two bedrooms with wardrobes, two bathrooms, and a laundry room. There is also a studio is next to them, the second place to work at home. From that room, there is access to the terrace on the first floor, created on the block of the ground floor part of the building.
The architecture of the house and nature are also a perfect base for spectacular art collection and designer furniture.
The building is covered with a flat roof, which also serves as a terrace. The architectural form of the building blends in with the existing landscape.
