The international contest “Neapolis, living as a student” ended on the 30th of June 2017. The competition was under the patronage of the Assessorato alla formazione e pari opportunità of the Regione Campania, organised by Instaura with the iGuzzini sponsorship.
The contest was also supported by important partners, such as DiARC, the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples “Federico II”, the MAPA degree course, Laurea Magistrale Architettura Progettazione Architettonica of the DiARC, the post-graduate course “Design for the historic city” of Federico II, LOA “Laboratorio Oltre l’Architettura”, IN/ARCH Istituto Nazionale di Architettura, inward Osservatorio della Creatività Urbana, Made in Cloister, a place for extraordinary creativity, The Plan, international architecture magazine, Divisare, international website for the promotion of architecture, Europaconcorsi, website for the communication of architecture competitions. The competition counted 190 registered students from Italian, European and extra-European schools, divided in 80 groups. 60 of them delivered their submissions.
The award ceremony will take place on the 29th of September 2017 at 12:00, in the SS. Demetrio and Bonifacio church in Naples, during the presentation conference for the international ideas competition open to architecture and engineering students for the design of a student housing complex in the heart of Naples, the ancient Neapolis.
The conference will be presented by the institutional representatives of the University of Naples Federico II and will see the participation of jury members Benedetto Camerana - Camerana & Partners Architects, Tourin; Maria Claudia Clemente - Labics architects, Rome; Alfonso Femia - Ateliers Alfonso Femia, Genoa, Milan, Paris; Nicola Leonardi - The Plan editor, Bologna; Amelia Tavella - Amelia Tavella Architects, prix Jeune Femme Architecte 2016.
Journalist Giorgio Tartaro will moderate the conference.
The award ceremony will also see the participation of Chiara Marciani, Assessore formazione e pari opportunità Regione Campania, Gaetano Manfredi, Rector of the University of Naples Federico II, Carlotta Zucchini, The Plan magazine director, Adolfo Guzzini, IN/ARCH national President, Andrea Damiati, Instaura Team.
