The new Laminam showroom in Fiorano Modenese was born from the collaboration of Alessandra Stefani, Laminam’s Deputy Chairman and Image & Communication manager, art gallery manager Federico Lugér and artist Luca Pozzi. The intent is to completely overhaul the classic conception of product presentation, placing Laminam at the centre of the story. This is done through the creation of three stations or areas. First, the “Percorso lastre libere” installation is a symbolic recreation of a natural landscape in which Laminam’s slabs are “trees” you can see and touch along an imaginary path in the woods. Then, the lounge kitchen is completely clad in Laminam sheets, in a space dominated by a monolith over 5m long. The final station is “The Majestic Game”, a site-specific installation designed by Luca Pozzi. A 160 m2 wall has been completely clad using Laminam’s Nero Intenso Collection. It has 12 luminous openings (windows) and 13 magnetic screens (doors) connected by an equal number of tennis balls held in place using magnets. The wall is no longer seen as static and the material becomes a lively, changeable element, suggesting strength and energy. The surface and the material have a sense of temporal and spatial dynamism. Laminam hopes this new area will convey the basic idea underlying these surfaces: a slab freed of the constraints of specific sizes and cuts that provides wonderful design freedom and opportunity to interpret the material.
